Bible Verses about 'Matthew 11:2'

  • Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
  • Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
  • How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
  • Therefore I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
  • Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
  • I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter.
  • As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
  • He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
  • And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
  • I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
  • For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.
  • For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
  • While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
  • He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
  • If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one.
  • If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
  • For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.
  • Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”
  • He answered, “Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
  • You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother; also, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
  • Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
  • But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
  • But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
  • See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.

It will not be so among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave.

One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city.
