| Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you. | Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. |
| Until now, in my name, you have not asked for anything. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. | Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. |

| You can eat any water creature that has fins and scales; those you can eat. Whatever does not have fins or scales, you are not to eat. It is unclean for you. | These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. |
| I ask that from the riches of his glory he may grant through his Spirit that you be strengthened with power in your inner being and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. | That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. |
| Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help. | Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |

| I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him. | That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. |
| May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you. | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. |
| Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. | Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged. | Judge not, that ye be not judged. |
| May the God of peace—who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant— make you perfect in every respect so that you may do his will. And may he enable us to achieve what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. | And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too. | And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. |
| I have told you this so that in me you may be in peace. In the world you will endure suffering. But take courage! | May God continue to bless us and be revered to the ends of the earth. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
| Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul. | Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. |
| The grass may wither and the flower may fade, but the word of our God will endure forever. | The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. |
| Even should my heart and my flesh fail, God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever. | My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. |
| I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown. | Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. |
