- All hard work brings a profit,

human beings that you care for them? - For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth. - Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
- And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
