Bible Verses about 'Mere'
- In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

- By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
- And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.

and cleanse me from my sin. - Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness. - Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses;
for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me
for thy goodness' sake, O Lord. - Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
