- I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches. - A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
- Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
- How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
- Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
- When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? - And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
- The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore. - Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. - My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you. - And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
- Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
- But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
- The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings. - Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.
- “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.” - For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
- Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
- In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.
