Chinese (traditional)- Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity. - I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. - Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine.
- Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin. - I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.
- As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.Next verse!With image
