- Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.
- But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
- I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself. - But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” - I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
- To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
- And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. - And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- I was sought by those who did not ask for Me;
I was found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am,’
To a nation that was not called by My name. - I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah - And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.
