Praise the name of the Lord!” - Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.
- There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
- A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
- And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Our help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,
the great Shepherd of the sheep,
and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—
may he equip you with all you need
for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
