| For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you. | For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. |
| I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. | I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. |

| He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” | Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! |
| I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. | Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. | And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. |
| You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own. | And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine. |
| Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. | “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! | For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good. | For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good. |
