- Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
- Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth;
even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.

- Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
