- The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
- Thus saith the Lord,
Stand ye in the ways, and see,
and ask for the old paths,
where is the good way, and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein. - Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
- Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
- But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
- For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
- Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
- He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
- And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
- And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
- Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
