No (2/4)

  • In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.
  • That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
    and no mind has imagined
    what God has prepared
    for those who love him.”
  • Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
  • The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
  • Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
  • I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!
  • I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.
  • And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins.
  • How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!
  • Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
  • No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.
  • There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  • So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
  • O God, you are my God;
    I earnestly search for you.
    My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
    where there is no water.
  • Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
  • But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
  • Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
  • No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
  • But ‘God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation. ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.
  • See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
  • Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.
  • He gives power to the weak
    and strength to the powerless.
  • For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
  • I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.”
  • Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
