Bible Verses about 'Other'

  • No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
  • And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.
  • The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • Therefore know today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
  • So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.
  • On the day of prosperity be happy,
But on the day of adversity consider:
God has made the one as well as the other
So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him.
  • But above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you do not fall under judgment.
  • Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.
  • For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
  • Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.
  • Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life.
  • Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
  • For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
  • But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
  • You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.
  • For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, distributing themselves, and a tongue rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.
  • For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.
  • So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.
  • Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.
  • Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker—
A piece of pottery among the other earthenware pottery pieces!
Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?
  • No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
  • For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!

When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army, nor be assigned any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall make his wife whom he has taken happy.
