Bible Verses about 'Other'

  • No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
  • There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
  • The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.
  • So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
  • Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
  • Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other.
  • The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet”; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.
  • Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
  • Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
  • You shall be holy to me; for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.
  • Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you.
  • For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want.
  • For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
  • For I am longing to see you so that I may share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or rather so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
  • Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself.
  • Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “no idol in the world really exists,” and that “there is no God but one.”
  • And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
  • For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any related duty. He shall be free at home one year, to be happy with the wife whom he has married.
  • See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
  • This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
