But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread. But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
One who conceals hatred has lying lips, And one who spreads slander is a fool.Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend. He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend.
For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered.Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.
A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for the one who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.
Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life.Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.
Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things. As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace. But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
