| No trial has confronted you except what a person can stand. God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tried beyond your strength. But together with the trial he will also provide a way out and the strength to bear it. | The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. |

| If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. | Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full. | Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. |
| While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud cast a shadow over them. Then a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.” | But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.” |
| Ensure that the path you tread is level, and then your ways will be sure. | Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. |
| Make your ways known to me, O Lord; teach me your paths. | Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. |
