- For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
- For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad, even mine. - A man’s heart plans his course,
but Yahweh directs his steps. - Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good?

- Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
