- Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.
- But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”

- He was despised
and rejected by men,
a man of suffering
and acquainted with disease.
He was despised as one from whom men hide their face;
and we didn’t respect him. - Glory to God in the highest,
on earth peace, good will toward men. - May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.
- But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
- Open your mouth for the mute,
in the cause of all who are left desolate. - But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- One who walks with wise men grows wise,
but a companion of fools suffers harm. - Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance.
- Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - For the customs of the peoples are vanity;
for one cuts a tree out of the forest,
the work of the hands of the workman with the ax.
They deck it with silver and with gold.
They fasten it with nails and with hammers,
so that it can’t move.
They are like a palm tree, of turned work,
and don’t speak.
They must be carried,
because they can’t move.
Don’t be afraid of them;
for they can’t do evil,
neither is it in them to do good. - With my soul I have desired you in the night.
Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly;
for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
- Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- Looking at them, Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”
- Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
- Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
- Deliver my soul, Yahweh, from lying lips,
from a deceitful tongue. - I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live. Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.
- And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
