If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable.

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.If anyone wishes to serve me, he must follow me. Where I am, there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor that person.
And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.A fool is quick to show his anger, but a prudent man ignores an insult.
