- No trial has confronted you except what a person can stand. God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tried beyond your strength. But together with the trial he will also provide a way out and the strength to bear it.
- Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.

By living according to your word. - How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

whose friendship is bestowed only upon the upright. - And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God.
- Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless
is the man devoid of self-control. - Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
- However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die.

Achieving purification from sins,
he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high. - We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
- For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
- If anyone thinks that he is religious but does not restrain his tongue, he is deceiving himself, and his religion is worthless.
- For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body.
- As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law,
even his prayer is detestable. - For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.
- Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.
