- Put me like a seal over your heart,
Like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy is as severe as Sheol;

- Be strong and let your heart take courage,

- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I wait for Him.” - But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.
- But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - “I love You, Lord, my strength.”
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. - But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting will not be noticed by people but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
