- Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - A perverse person spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates close friends. - One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city. - Grandchildren are the crown of the old,
And the glory of sons is their fathers. - Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool,
Much less are lying lips to a prince. - One who conceals an offense seeks love,
But one who repeats a matter separates close friends. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - A fool does not delight in understanding,
But in revealing his own mind. - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels,
And they go down into the innermost parts of the body. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe. - A rich person’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own imagination. - Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - A person’s gift makes room for him
And brings him before great people. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - He who finds a wife finds a good thing
And obtains favor from the Lord. - A person of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord. - One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But one who is careless of conduct will die. - Many plans are in a person’s heart,
But the advice of the Lord will stand. - What is desirable in a person is his kindness,
And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. - Avoiding strife is an honor for a person,
But any fool will quarrel.
It is a trap for a person to say carelessly, “It is holy!”
And after the vows to make inquiry.For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.Next verse!With image
