Proverbs 31:10 (2/6)

Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother.
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared?
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.A wise son makes a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.
He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little.
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.
The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.
The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.
