Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.A perverse person spreads strife, And a slanderer separates close friends.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city.
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.Grandchildren are the crown of the old, And the glory of sons is their fathers.

He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.One who gets wisdom loves his own soul; One who keeps understanding will find good.
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the Lord.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But one who is careless of conduct will die.
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand.
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.
It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel.

It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.It is a trap for a person to say carelessly, “It is holy!” And after the vows to make inquiry.
