- Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. - For a thousand years in thy sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. - O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. - But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,
and his righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant,
and to those that remember his commandments to do them. - I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people.
Seek the Lord, and his strength:
seek his face evermore.Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.Next verse!With image
