- The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens.
Let your glory be over all the earth. - For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - And steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord.
For you repay to all
according to their work. - O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - I cried aloud to him,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. - Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds —
his name is the Lord—
be exultant before him.
Father of orphans and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation. - God gives the desolate a home to live in;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious live in a parched land. - Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.Next verse!With image
