Bible Verses about 'Put'
- When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You. - Rid yourself of a deceitful mouth
And keep devious speech far from you. - And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

In Your righteousness rescue me. - Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it.
- And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. - So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way.
- Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
- The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy hand will be put to forced labor. - In God, whose word I praise,
In God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
Than to trust in people. - Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.
- For You have put us to the test, God;
You have refined us as silver is refined. - And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.
- So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.
- Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
- Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
- For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- You are my hiding place and my shield;
I wait for Your word. - Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”
- Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.
- Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Stop doing evil. - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And I wait for His word. - From my distress I called upon the Lord;
The Lord answered me and put me in an open space. - Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’
- For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who wait for the Lord. - Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.
- Why are you in despair, my soul?
And why are you restless within me?
Wait for God, for I will again praise Him
For the help of His presence, my God. - Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. - How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered! - Trust in the Lord and do good;
Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness. - Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
- But He knows the way I take;
When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.
My foot has held on to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Search me, God, and know my heart;
Put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there is any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way. - But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”
- And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day. - Put me like a seal over your heart,
Like a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy is as severe as Sheol;
Its flames are flames of fire,
The flame of the Lord.
