What can flesh do to me? - Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
- You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word. - Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
- Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;

- And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
- He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord! - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Blessed is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. - And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
- But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long. - But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
- Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
