- When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

What can mere mortals do to me? - So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
- Diligent hands will rule,
but laziness ends in forced labor. - May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,

he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. - Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

- Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing their way into it. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
