Bible Verses about 'Rise up'
- He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?
- So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed. For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
- These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
- Though an army should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear.
Though war should rise against me,
even then I will be confident. - But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.
- Arise, Yahweh!
God, lift up your hand!
Don’t forget the helpless. - Yahweh, you have searched me,
and you know me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up.
You perceive my thoughts from afar. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all wrongs. - Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.
- Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
- He heals the broken in heart,
and binds up their wounds. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
- Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- A man’s pride brings him low,
but one of lowly spirit gains honor. - The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered—
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,
even all of the trees of the field are withered;
for joy has withered away from the sons of men. - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
- Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
- He lays up sound wisdom for the upright.
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal.
- He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. They ate and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
- Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.
He brings low, he also lifts up. - I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. - He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
- Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind.
Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down.
Yahweh loves the righteous. - But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
- Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it. - But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
- For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness. - Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name. - You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
- Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you. - They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”
- I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
