Bible Verses about 'Rise up'
- So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.
- He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.
- For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
- But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall.
- Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand.
Do not forget the humble. - If an army encamps against me,
My heart will not fear;
If war arises against me,
In spite of this I am confident. - Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away. - These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all offenses. - So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
- Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him. - Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.
- He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!
- And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger. - The vine has dried up
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,
All the trees of the field have dried up.
Indeed, joy has dried up
From the sons of mankind. - Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.
- A person’s pride will bring him low,
But a humble spirit will obtain honor. - Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.
- Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.
- Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.
- Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He blessed them and broke them, and gave them to the disciples again and again, to serve the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied; and the broken pieces which they had left over were picked up, twelve baskets full.
- If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - The Lord opens the eyes of those who are blind;
The Lord raises up those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
- Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
- How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of mankind! - Because Your favor is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning,
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul. - And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
- He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
- I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - Now the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the Law and the commandments which I have written for their instruction.”
- And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.
- And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
- But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.
- Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
