- The hand of the diligent will rule,
while the lazy will be put to forced labor. - When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
- And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
- The rich rules over the poor,
and the borrower is the slave of the lender. - Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.
- But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah,
who are one of the little clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to rule in Israel,
whose origin is from of old,
from ancient days. - Like a city breached, without walls,
is one who lacks self-control. - For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
- For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
- Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;
still less is false speech to a ruler. - One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city. - Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures to all generations. - God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I set your ordinances before me. - I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous ordinances. - His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
- The sum of your word is truth;
and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. - For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, busy with this very thing.
- So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.
- We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances.
I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.Next verse!With image
