- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’
and rightly so,
for that is what I am. - As a deer longs for running streams,

- Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- Seek good and not evil,
so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
as you claim he is. - Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren.
- For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation.
- As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts above your thoughts. - So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.

‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles
so that you may bring salvation
to the farthest corners of the earth.’ - Therefore, we can say with confidence:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.
- The body is one, although it has many parts; and all the parts, though many, form one body. So it is with Christ.
- In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
- Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that weighs us down and the sins that so easily distract us and with perseverance run the race that lies ahead of us.
- I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.
- For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
- Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
- For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
- And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Can someone hide in a secret place
so that I cannot see him?
Do I not fill heaven and earth? - You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.
- By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit
and become my disciples. - So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- In my Father’s house
there are many dwelling places.
If there were not,
would I have told you
that I am going to prepare a place for you? - Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.
- Behold, he is coming with the clouds;
every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him.
All the peoples of the earth will mourn him.
So shall it be. Amen. - The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.
- In that way, I can come to you in joy, if God so wills, and be refreshed together with you.
- He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
- You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do. - Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.
- For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
