Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Sorrow'
- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- For in much wisdom is much grief:
and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
- As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
- For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
- Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. - He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
- Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
- And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
- Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
- Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
- These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.Next verse!With image
