Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Sound'
- As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
- He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. - On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.
- When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
- For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
- The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
- For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.
- I hear the tumult of the raging seas
as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. - If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
- From the depths of despair, O Lord,
I call for your help.
Hear my cry, O Lord.
Pay attention to my prayer. - Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!
Praise the Lord! We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.Next verse! With image
