  • And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
  • Pride brings a person low,
    but the lowly in spirit gain honor.
  • There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.

  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
  • And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
  • Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
  • They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

  • Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
  • Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
  • We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
  • For I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.
  • When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
  • For this is what the high and exalted One says—
    he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
    “I live in a high and holy place,
    but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
    to revive the spirit of the lowly
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
  • The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
  • Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
  • Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
    and the desert becomes a fertile field,
    and the fertile field seems like a forest.

Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.
