- Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
- But I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. - What right do you have to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? The master will determine whether that servant will stand or fall. But the servant will be upheld, for the Lord has the power to enable him to stand.
- Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming.
- Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil.
- It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and refuse to submit again to the yoke of slavery.
- And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.
- The Lord will protect you against all evil;
he will watch over your life.
The Lord will watch over your coming and your going
both now and forevermore. - For to you a thousand years
are like a yesterday that has passed
or one of the watches of the night. - Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
- If the Lord does not build the house,
those who construct it labor in vain.
If the Lord does not guard the city,
those who keep watch over it do so in vain. - Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength.
- Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the company of scoffers. - These are the words of the Lord of hosts:
Stand at the crossroads and look around;
ask for the ancient paths.
When you are shown where the good way lies,
walk along it and your souls will find rest.
However, they said, “We will not take it.” - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand unshaken. - Observe my Sabbaths and stand in awe before my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
- Behold, I am standing at the door, knocking. If one of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with that person and that person with me.
- And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand ever unshaken. - Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
- I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them.
- For he guards the paths of justice
and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones. - So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- The grass may wither and the flower may fade,
but the word of our God will endure forever. - Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness clothing you, and with your feet shod in zeal to proclaim the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold in your hand the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
O Lord, you have examined me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance.With all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in a spirit of love.
