- O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
- I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food. - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
- He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
- Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name's sake! - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
- The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
- There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.

of the son of man who is made like grass. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
