Bible Verses about 'Study the scriptures'
- For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
- For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
- He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’
- He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.

Every tongue will confess to God.’” - But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- But just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior, because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”
- But as it is written,
“Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear,
which didn’t enter into the heart of man,
these God has prepared for those who love him.” - So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed. For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
- But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- For,
“He who would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
- He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
- This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
- He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him? How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.” - The rich rule over the poor.
The borrower is servant to the lender. - For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hope of the wicked will perish. - In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
- The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul.
Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple. - Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind.
Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down.
Yahweh loves the righteous. - Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
- Whoever denies the Son doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.
- Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth. - Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - The vine has dried up, and the fig tree withered—
the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,
even all of the trees of the field are withered;
for joy has withered away from the sons of men. - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
- I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
