Blessed be the name of the Lord.” - The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
- And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
- And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.

- So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.
- Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines,
So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
- For You have put us to the test, God;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
