- In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.

- Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.

Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord. - Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
- Have mercy on me, O God,
because of your unfailing love.
Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
Purify me from my sin. - Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
- “Listen to me and make up your minds to honor my name,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “or I will bring a terrible curse against you. I will curse even the blessings you receive. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you have not taken my warning to heart.”
- For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
