Take (2/4)

You will not add to what I command you, nor will you take away from it, so that you might observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you.Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.
Just as he came forth naked from his mother’s womb, so shall he depart, naked as he came, with nothing remaining from his labor that he can carry away in his hands. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
With his feathers he will shelter you, and you will take refuge under his wings; his faithfulness serves as a protective shield. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
Every word of God has proved to be true; he is a shield to those who trust in him.Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.
I love you, O Lord, my strength, O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer. My God is my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather seek to expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of what deeds people do in secret.Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.
Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied. My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.
And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside. But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside.
The way of God is blameless, and the Lord’s promise proves true; he is a shield to all who flee to him for safety.God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
After he had decided to follow this course of action, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary into your home as your wife. For this child has been conceived in her womb through the Holy Spirit.”As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.”
So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?
The brother who is in modest circumstances should take pride in being raised up. Likewise, the one who is rich should glory in being brought low, for he will disappear like a flower of the field.Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.
Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.
Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
You shall take heed to observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, and the decrees and statutes that he has given to you.You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The Lord God said, “Behold, man has become like one of us, for he has knowledge of that which is good and that which is evil. Now, we must prevent him from reaching out and taking the fruit of the tree of life lest he eat it and live forever.” The Lord God cast him out of the Garden of Eden; henceforth he was to labor tilling the soil from which he had come. Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!” So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made.

If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.

Bible verse of the day

What god can compare with you,
the God who takes away guilt
and forgives the transgressions
of the remnant of your people?
You will not allow your anger to fester forever,
for your delight is in bestowing mercy.
