| The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. | Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. | Honour widows that are widows indeed. |
| You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed. | And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? | Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.
