- As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him. - The Lord will rescue his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. - “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
- After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. - Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
- Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
- Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
- Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” - Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
- How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. - While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
- And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
- Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
- Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb,
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands. - Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Do not envy the violent
or choose any of their ways.
For the Lord detests the perverse
but takes the upright into his confidence.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
