- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- How great is your goodness, O Lord,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you,
in the presence of all the people. - Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
- For you know that the testing of your faith will develop perseverance.
- Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming.
- Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
- You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.
- No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.
- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cries of supplication. - Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth:
it is better for you that I depart.
For if I do not go away,
the Advocate will not come to you,
whereas if I go,
I will send him to you. - In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you.
- I will instruct you
and guide you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you
and keep my eyes upon you. - If it seems wrong to you to serve the Lord, then today you must choose whom you will serve, whether it be the gods that your fathers served on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites who dwell in the land. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
- Never will I forget your commands,
for through them you have given me life. - Go forth, then. Eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God long ago approved what you do.
- But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud
and your sins like a mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.
- May he give you your heart’s desire
and grant you success in all your plans.
