Thank you for your blessings (3/4)

  • Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
  • As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
    we wait for you, O Lord;
    your name and your renown
    are all that our heart desires.
  • Therefore, brethren, be diligent in providing a firm foundation for your call and election. If you do this, you will never stumble, and you will receive a glorious welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness
    have been yours from of old.
    Remember not the sins of my youth
    or my many transgressions,
    but remember me in your kindness,
    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord.
  • For where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.
  • Enriched in every way, you will be able to practice all your acts of generosity, which, through our intervention, will result in thanksgiving to God.
  • To do your will, O God, is my delight;
    your law is in my heart.
  • In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets.
  • Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.
  • Dispose my heart to follow your statutes
    and to flee selfish gain.
  • Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
  • The one who provides seed for sowing and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
  • I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body.
  • The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
    Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
    do not forsake the work of your hands.
  • But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
  • Then Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan so gained control of your heart that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the sale price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not belong to you? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds yours? What caused you to contrive this scheme? You have lied not to men but to God.”
  • Blessed be the God,
    and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
    who has blessed us in Christ
    with every spiritual blessing in the heavens.
  • You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
  • O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
    filled with kindness for all who cry to you.
  • When you search for me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart.
  • For I, the Lord, am your God
    and I grasp your right hand.
    It is I who say to you,
    Do not fear; I will help you.
  • When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes.
  • Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
  • You will show me the path to life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence
    and everlasting delights at your right hand.
  • Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God.
    Let your gracious Spirit lead me
    along a level path.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
