- For there is one God,
and there is one mediator between God and man,
Christ Jesus, himself a man. - For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
- Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well.
- O Lord, grant us salvation.
O Lord, grant us success.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
We bless you from the house of the Lord. - Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
- For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all is God.
- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - The crowds that preceded him and those that followed kept shouting:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!” - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
- He will not permit your foot to stumble;
he who guards you will not fall asleep. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. - Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul;
one who cherishes understanding will prosper. - For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another. - Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.” - For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- There is no holy one like the Lord,
there is none beside you,
nor is there a rock like our God. - Love one another with genuine affection. Esteem others more highly than yourself.
- But from you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
among the tiniest of the clans of Judah,
from you will come forth for me
one who is to be a ruler in Israel,
one whose origins are from the distant past,
from ancient times. - The Lord will become king over the whole earth. When that day comes, he will be the only Lord, and his name will be the only name.
- He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels.
- In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist.
