- And the good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the entire world as a testimony offered to all the nations. And then the end will come.
- The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their parents. - With our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, ignoring its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver.
The Lord is our king;
he is the one who will save us. - The time of fulfillment has arrived, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- When the Advocate comes
whom I will send you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father,
he will testify on my behalf. - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to prisoners
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.
- For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.
- For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him. - For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles
so that you may bring salvation
to the farthest corners of the earth.’ - Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in accord with the law of the Lord. - Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil.
- So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
- This rather is the type of fast that I wish:
to loosen the fetters of injustice,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to set free those who are oppressed
and to break every yoke. - Indeed, creation itself eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God.
- May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.
- May God continue to bless us
and be revered to the ends of the earth. - The upright are guarded by their integrity;
the treacherous are destroyed by their own duplicity. - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me.
He has sent me to announce good news to the oppressed,
to strengthen the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom to those held in captivity
and release to those who have been imprisoned. - For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
who lives eternally
and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
