The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
He will render to each one according to his works.Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
