He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.Some praise their chariots and some their horses, But we will praise the name of the Lord, our God.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.

He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend.
As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.As he came naked from his mother’s womb, so he will return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”
